DIY: New life for old 35mm negatives with digital media
My challenge was to try and find a way of transferring old 35mm negatives onto digital print media, as I wanted to design a coffee table book with images from my 10 years of travel around Africa.
I found the idea after visiting the SWPP in London and visited a stand producing some amazing photo books in A3 and wanted to replicate some images of Africa of my own.
Some time was taken on research on how to create those negatives into digital images and those that would be good enough to expand over 150% to stand shoulder to shoulder in a book with digital images taken on my Canon 5D MKii and the software and techniques that I have found.

2013 52 week photo challenge; week 8
As this week was Valentine’s Day, I couldn’t resist finding a red rose and pulling out the macro lens. Sadly, no I wasn’t given a red rose….nonetheless, it still makes a worthy winner of this week’s photo challenge.
